Yeah, lets hope the writing quality is better on the 52x writer too.

Sweet... nothing like drives before it then, even looks like a new tray.

Averaging 39x across the burn in CAV, not a bad result. The read rates are not brilliant (limited to 48x) and the rewrite is 24x CAV which ain't fantastic, but the drive looks good on paper.

Now, should I get the Artec or the TEAC and report back? Edging toward the Artec currently because of the price and the fact Maplin do take a debit card....
