Sony CRX185E3 firmware file needed

Due to suggestions a Lite-on firmware would work I flashed my drive. I tried to back it up with Mtkflash and it appeared to work. However, I only have a small flash file and it doesn't work when I flash it. Therefore I'm unable to return it to it's initial state :cry:

Usually, the E1 is the Lite-ON model, but I forget which is it for the 185 series. Send me the firmware that you backed up and I'll check it out. I might have the 185 firmware at home, but I'm not sure.

B******s. I forgot the /M switch. That's why I got a backup file of 64kb :cry:

Thank you very much. Works 100%. I can't stress enough that the CRX185 "E3" cannot be updated to a Lite-on and remember to use the /M switch when backing up your flash chip using Mtkflash.

Something i noticed: When i disassembled my Sony, i saw a Sticker with "3212IM" on it. Could this be a BTC drive?

I spose it could be a BTC... It's not a Lite-ON, the CRX185E1 is a Lite-ON though.
