Best Buy gets my vote for all the Fuji CD's they have on sale almost every week. Also Best Buy does a nice job of printing out the rebates for you too. :D

I spread the wealth. I go wherever the deals are...and the deals vary from week to week. :)

I agree here, I had to wait 5 minutes at Fry's for the sales clerk to dig through a file cabinet to find the right rebate coupon for me.

Best Buy stores are all over the place here in the USA (I do hope they build more in Canada), and they always seem to have something I'm interested on sale each week. A big selection and they advertise more often than the other stores. (My mother calls BB "Toys R Us for Adults" )

My only gripe about ALL the stores listed on this poll is the dumb, uneducated, misinformed, or "just say anything to make a sale" salespeople these stores hire. Some of these people would be better off (still) working at McDonalds.

I was at Office Max yesterday and I was constantly hounded by 4 different salespeople while I was looking for the on-sale Cendyne 48x12x48x drive with a Lite-On drive inside (didnt find one). They looked at me like a potental shoplifter as I was looking at the back of the boxes.

I wanted to tell them to "F--- off and let me shop, dammit!"

CompUSA can have some really great deals, but unfortunately I have to drive 30 miles each way to get to my nearest one, same with Best Buy. I usually end up at Circuit City , Staples or OfficeMax which are in the same strip mall area 2 miles away from where I live. I also do business with my local computer store which usually has really good deals on "used" software and cables.
Main Computer:
ASUS A7N8X deluxe
AMD Athlon XP2500
1Gb PC3200
6600GT AGP
BENQ 1620
NEC 3500AG
Lite-on 52246S
Lite-on LTC-48161H
1 Tb of internal HDD space
750+ Gb external storage
Dual Boot Win2000Pro/XP Home

Having been on the other side of retail before, I can tell you two things. Customers will get mad at you if you don't approach and help them and they will get mad at you if you do approach and try to help them. You just hope that both types don't come in the store at the same time and wish to Santa that you could read minds like he can.

Maybe I should walk in those stores with a button that says "leave me alone".

I guess I was in a very bad mood tuesday with the last minute rush to buy things - but after 4 "Can I help You?" I was getting very annoyed. I guess I should have shown pity on those guys in Officemax, but I dont think they even knew what a Lite-On was. Best Buy was packed with customers across the street and OfficeMax only had a few people inside despite beating them on several good deals. I dont know why they dont get the sales of Staples and Office Depot down here.

I also shop at newegg (great fast service) and at my local computer store. CPU in Longview TX. which also sells on the net at http://www.cpu4u.com
