Movies burnt on dvds with different burners don't really look different on a TV. What's important is how you encoded the movie, and what resolution it is.
As per the burners, writing quality, and compatibility with DVD players can make a difference. Currently Sony's DRU500A looks the best for that, and its among the fastest burners.
