Piece of Crap

My cd writer, the 32x12x48 has quit working for some reason. It will not read any cd of any type. The orange light just blinks very fast when any media is inserted. Definetly not worth the money I paid for this junk.

Who made your CD-RW drive? How long have you had it for?
Also, have you tried returning it if it's still under warranty?

It's an Antec drive. I'm sorry I didn't say that before. For some reason I assumed this was an Antec forum since I reached it through their site. I can't get a response from Antec. I've only had it a couple of months.

You might want to use your warranty As Soon As Possible.

I think you meant Artec, because Antec makes computer cases, psu's, and etc. If you've only had it for a few months, then use the warranty and return it. Just contact Antec up and tell them what problems your having and hopefully they will handle it.

Here are some helpful links:

On a side note, being upset with something is fine, but calling it crap is another when you're trying to get support. Wait till you get your problem resolved before you start calling it crap ;)

I had this problem with my Artec for some reason a few months after I bought it. I reflashed the firmware with the latest version (any will do, if you already have the latest one reflash it again) and it's been fine ever since.
