help with burinng iso's

how do i burn an ISO downloaded Windows XP as an iso and then i burned it and it did not work. how do i burn and ISO.
i have nero burning rom version 5.5.9.17.. and i have a yamaha 44x24x44 and a samsung 48x24x48x16.[/b]

what do you mean by that?.. be more specific. go through all the steps of doing it. from opening nero to finish burning the cd

1. put a blank CD in your burner
2. open Nero
3. cancel the dialog that pops up asking you what type of compilation you want to make
4. from the "File" menu select "Burn Image..."
5. browse to and select the .iso file using the "Open" dialog that appears
6. click "Open"
7. check the settings in the "Write CD" dialog that appears. On the "Burn" tab make sure the "Write" and "Finalize CD" boxes are checked in the "Action" box, select "Disc-At-Once" as the "Write Method"
8. click "Write" and allow Nero to do its job

(all of this assumes you are using the traditional interface to Nero, not the Wizard or Express interface)

what did you do at first? burn the .iso file directly to a data cd?

yup.. how you know? it did it like that your first time
