oh dear, I am having huge problems. PLease excuse me if this doesn't completely make sense - I am not terribly compuiter literate. I just installed a new cdrw drive because my other one was fried when my power supply went kaput. It is a Sony cd-rw crx185E3. I've always used free software with my other burner - most recently mp3 doctor but now I have Nero 5.5. I've upgrade to the newest version so that my drive is supported and it is now burning. The problem I have is that the cd's are almost completely useless due to the large amount of skipping and static.
I've tried changing the reading speed but it didn't seem to help. I am burning mp3s.
If anyone has any tips, I would be very appreciative!
