Need help with my first Lite On Dvd drive

This is my first dvd drive in general, but I purchased the LTD163 from newegg as a refurb. When I shake the dvd drive, I hear something rattling around, not sure what it is. The lite on website mentions their cd-roms have "loose noise when moving our drive", due to the ABS system, was wondering if this is the same for the dvd drives. Is this normal for lite on drives, or is it a bad refurb?

I'm pretty sure the LTD-163 has ABS technology as well. Have you noticed any performance problems with the drive?

Yes, they have the same system in DVD-ROM drives and the noise is normal. The drive may make a bit of clattering when you first insert a disc and it spins up (the ball bearings are settling into position to balance the disc), but it should go away after a couple of seconds.
