Thanks ian, I was pretty disappointed in the person who did that. False information is just wrong...

CRX220 on the way?

Sony America hasn't announced the CRX220 yet. You can bet that we'll take a look at it when it ships.

lol!! thats a nice pic elim.

You can always overclock your Sony CRX210 to a 220...

The CRX220 firmware thats floating around out there doesn't seem to be a final. While the ID string is right, the version number is the same as Lite-On's 52x. Sony's are usually a little different. The drive's Turbo Boost function is also missing on the drive.

Yeah, that firmware is from http://kickme.to/sony210 . It is actually Memorexx firmware modified to Lite-ON firmware modified to Sony firmware :o That's why we're waiting for the real crx220 firmware to be released.

Yep, double verification. I just took a look at it in binary format and I see the good old Lite-ON tags that ^DA^Zombie left in his version  Stupid cdrinfo... Oh yeah, and the filenames are the same. We still need the real firmware with turboboost Ian... And the CRX210 2YS1 firmware in there came from Ian as well...

Dragon_Lord you don't need to update your firmware. You have the newest available.

My Lite-On has this revision and in Nero 55914 it can only burn in 3 speeds ! 52x 8x and 4x. Is there anyone else this is happening to?

I also have a Memorex 52x24x52x and it can burn the whole gambit of speeds!

You might just need to wait for the next version. This sounds like a software issue.
