I am having problems, I the above mentioned drive on my computer but none of my software recognizes that it is a cdrw drive and I can't select it as an option to burn cd's? I'm running a Dual athlon xp 1800 system on a tyan s2466N-4m mobo with 768 megs of ram. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
still not working, I ahve the newest version of Nero and Fireburner and neither will work. I did however get the software that came with it, "B's Recorder Gold" to work. Any ideas on getting nero or something to work? Thanks
To clarify, Nero for instance, doesn't even recognize that my drive exists, when it starts up, the only option i have is the virtual disk image maker. I did manage to make it work once just after I had upgraded B's to the newest version, but aside from that one time, it hasn't wanted to work and I have no idea what I did that time to make it recognize the drive. Thanks
Is your copy of Nero an OEM version that came with another drive, or the full retail version? OEM versions typically are locked to the particular drive with which they were bundled, and won't recognize other drives.
Seems like I'm having the same problem here.
My Nero (5.5.6) doesn't recognise this cd writer ...
But most of the time, if it was an OEM verion and you
install another cdrw drive, it'll atleast detect the cdrw
but with a red cross on it indicating that the version
of Nero is only meant for the OEM drive that it came with.
Now the problem is that Nero doesn't even
detect the drive in the first place, it only shows the Virtual
drive thats available.
B'z Gold works fine .. but I'll never get used to it.
Nero is much better IMO
What version of Nero was CDRLabs using when they were
testing / reviewing the Sony CRX210A1 ??

Read the review. It says it there. If you're too lazy, I believe I used 5.5.9.17. I recommend downloading the latest update from www.nero.com and trying that.
