Alternative to Nero and Easy CD 4

Postby klacan on Thu Jan 01, 1970 12:21 am

Have a DVD-ROM and a Cyberdrive 32x burner...Two software problems

1) Easy CD 4.05 refuses to burn to this drive..audio,data anything although it recognises the actual drive under "source".Never had this problem with the 4X drive before

2) When attempting to do an on-the-fly audio CD copy using the DVD as the source drive Nero 5.5.7.2 tells me "unable to extract digital audio from source drive" and hence I end up using the Cyberdrive as if I had only a single CD drive on my system...

Is this normal and if so are there any alternatives that will let me do a CD-CD audio copy? As for data..Nero works excellent

Try either NTi CD Maker 2000. This is an excelent but cheap software that has relatively few problems.

That's a shame that WONCD is not readily available in the States. Not that it is easy to find it in Europe, Roxio has buried it so deep that it is difficult to locate it and when you find it in a Roxio german site, you cannot read the language of that site. However if you buy it, I assure you that the GUI aspect of it, is in english and only the help files are in german. But it is so intuitive that you do not need the files.
And all that trouble because Roxio bought the mother company CeQuadrat just to bury this excellent application in favor of its Easy CD Creator which is nothing compared to WONCD. So stupid!
We you don't cast a vote in favor of selling WONCD in the States in the following link (scroll to the right of the page to see it):
