i find this is recet rewies of the LG GCE-8400B 40/12/40 CD-RW
Like the other 40x writers I've looked at over the past few months, LG's new GCE-8400B was very easy to install. If you've installed an IDE CD-ROM or CD-RW drive before you won't have any problems. I took the drive out of the box, left the jumper set to master and installed it on the secondary IDE chain by connecting the IDE cable and power connector. When I turned on the computer the BIOS detected it as a drive supporting PIO Mode 4. After making sure that the DMA check box was checked in the device manager, I was ready to go.
Even though the GCE-8400B doesn't support UDMA 33, it is still important to enable DMA in your OS. Enabling DMA will help you get the best performance from your drive.

WHAT DO YOU THINK???
