new shiny silver at rima (Spin-X) ?

Postby SkaarjMaster on Wed May 11, 2022 4:47 pm

Was about to order some new Verbatim DVD-Rs from rima today and I can't find them there, but in its place is the Spin-X.

Any thoughts on these? Will they work as good as the Verbatim? Thank you.

Any idea who the actual manufacturer is? I couldn't find any info online. Not even the MID.

I have no idea. How about a link to buy the old Verbatim ones that used to be at rima? I found one at amazon, but they got some bad reviews and have an orange package with AZO on it. Can you buy them directly from Verbatim?

If I remember right, Verbatim contracted out their consumer grade media and it was never quite the same afterwards. If you want decent media from Verbatim, they still make the DataLifePlus

https://www.amazon.com/Verbatim-DataLif ... r=8-3&th=1

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like they're available with a shiny surface.

Edit: Yes, they also offer a shiny surface

I bought so much blank media the last time the office stores had their last sales on the good Verbatims that I'm all set. Now I'm trying to slowly build up 4k blank media but not a huge priority with everything going on to the box and on Plex.
