What's your favorite software for burning optical disks?

If you are still burning an optical disk now and then, what software are you using, and/or what software do you prefer?

ImgBurn is my go to these days. It's simple and easy to use.

What about burning software for other types of tasks?

I recently installed Nero Standard 2019, and it was a total pain just to install, with a bunch of required older prerequisites, and then a confusing registration process that would not accept the key that came with the retail package(legit purchase from Newegg awhile back).

Mostly its for data backups. I use the "Write files/folders to disc" option

Thanks for the reply. I was so focused on ImgBurn as a tool for burning ISO images that I never used it for anything else. Will have to try using it for other tasks.

I´m using IMgBurn and, an old Nero 7 Full and a OEM-version of Nero 12 which was included some years ago as I bought an Asus (Liteon) DVD-writer.

Using ImgBurn mostly for Isos, Nero 12 for BD-R in general, Nero 7 still for burning DVDs.

Dunno if Imgburn also support Multisession, but Nero do

I have an older copy of Nero7 Essentials with Recode which I still use on an older machine.

Yep, I still use all of these drives from time to time.

The Benqs are used for very old media and scanning of CD-R (which I very rarely use but it´s nice to see my Verbatim Metal Azo 12x, burned in 2000, are still perfect)

The Plextor 755 gets also sometimes used for old media, but the results are vary much, so I don´t use it often.

Most drives are used for burning DVD, mostly LG DVD-writers and Pioneer BDR-drives.

The Samsung from 224DB to 224GB are good drives for DVD+R DL

Pioneer DVR-215 shows still good results with many media while the DVR-S21L is very picky with many media. But the 21L have done a lot of work and is still unproblematic

Newer LG DVD-drives are noisy and have a bad reliability but still show good writing quality

Liteon x24F are much more reliable than actual LGs and not so noisy, but not so good in writing quality like the LGs or Pioneer BDR-drives. I use the Lites mostly for scanning DVD-media because I don´t trust the Benqs so much for this. It is confusing me if the Benq show POF failures but can read the disc without bigger problems.
