Sonic my dvd came pre installed on my xp windows H.P. Great little program but very old now. Can it be updated? or do I have to uninstall it and reinstall another newer version.

Sonic Solutions is no more so you probably won't be getting updates. It looks like Roxio still sells a version of MyDVD though.

What were you using the program for? There might be better tools available now.

Thankyou for your reply Ian.
I only used the program for burning cds/dvds occasionally
Do I just uninstall it via my add and remove , will this remove all the files etc.?
Just wanted a simple little program . Free if possible as it won,t be used that much.

Imgburn works great for data CDs and DVDs. It also supports music CDs but I can't say that I've ever used it for that.

And yes, if you uninstall it via "Add and Remove Software" it will remove all the system files. If you have any saved projects, it probably wont' remove those though. If that's something you want to keep, I'd still make a copy somewhere else just in case.

Ian ,
Thankyou for your reply and the two links . I will give imgburn a try, and will investigate the Roxio version of
MyDVD See how much it costs.
I will remove my old version of MyDVD through add and remove.
Thankyou for your help and support. And have a lovely day.
