I didn't keep mine though I probably should have, but at the time I kept upgrading as faster and cheaper drives came out and I sold it to offset my latest upgrade.
I also sold my 500a too but I do still have my NEC 2500, and all of the LiteOn CDRW drives I bought.
I think the 2500 should go down in history as one of the very first really high quality burners that also accidentally got the very first upgrade to burn dual layer disks.
I probably have over 20 burners here either packed away or in use somewhere and selling one to cover the latest upgrade just doesn't have to happen now, it's more like clear out some space
Ask anyone if they have a SCSI card nowadays and you'll probably get a blank stare unless they are geeks with some time under them
