a malware issue

ok heres my story...i was in my spam box i saw this "free scan"offer in there.ok not wanting it deleted it i hit the delete button..when i did this it scanned anyway
then avast poped up and blocked it along with spysweeper..then i did a sweep with spy sweeper and it frond the issue..it called it mal/hckpk-e..spysweeter put it
in quarinteen.after this spysweeper didnt work like before so i deleted it though add and delete programs it got rid of it spysweeper that is.ok now im getting these
run time errors poping up when i come on the computer.one says "runtime error "0" on the top it says "vbacceleroatorsqrid 11 control" and the other one says "mal-
warebytes anti malware runtime error 400" and then automation error "0"i contacted spysweeper but they have yet to responde..what can i do?thanks..

You could have a virus. More likely though, when you uninstalled Spysweeper, it removed a DLL used by the other programs.

Try reinstalling spysweeper to start.

i managed to fix that issue but some new issues have emerge...there was this "free scan"in my spam box but i didnt want it so i tried to delete it but it opened up and scanned anyway...both avast and spysweeper opened up and blocked it.later i did a sweep with spysweeper and got 2 items..they were mal/hckpk-e and another
one with the same letters except instead with an a at the end.how can i get rid of these items?and whats the safe way to delete a free sacn option in your spam box
with out risking a problem in the future?thanks

yea most of the time i can delete without any problems but not that time.i think that scan thing was designed to open up no matter what i did...

Yeah, some of those nasties can try to auto run by different ways and sounds like he got one. Once that thing got blocked twice you should have deleted it and your anti virus should have asked to delete or quarantine it as well. I use Kaspersky Internet Security here on mine and thats what it does for anything suspicious after asking me. Luckily it hasn't let anything stay in since I installed a version several years ago and upgraded as needed.
Every time something like that sneaks in I get a instant notification box anyways so it doesn't get a chance to auto run it's payload and even if it does it gets killed shortly.

I really like it a lot. I used to use Norton's till it let some kind of back door anti spy/virus in one day and it took me over 2 weeks of pain to get rid of it.
It is kinda spendy but somebody's always having a sale or rebate on it if you keep an eye on the deal sites, it's also a top 5 program and is constantly updated.
You can completely configure it to your liking as well or let it do it's thing in the default setup and you should be good either way.

I've switched my personal computers from Symantec Antivirus to Microsoft's Security Essentials. It uses a lot less resources and its free.

I have not switched... still using Kaspersky, but I recently installed the Microsoft Security Essentials on a neighbors PC because AVG Free has become a piece of crap resource hog... Time will tell if the MS offering will remain solid, but it works fine now! Give it a go, Lenny... can't hurt to try it.

I'm now running security essentials as well because my Kaspersky ran out and nobody has had a good enough deal to make me buy another sub yet. It seems to work fine and I don't notice any slowdowns but I am now using a 6 core 1090t AMD now with win7 64...
Using it mainly because it's free and seems to get regular updates.
