The new version so far works very well for me. they said they did a lot of tweaks to make it less of a resource hog and more like real users want to use.
All the bits I've used for years still seem to work very well so I'd say if you like the interface and all the features it a good program now.

did you take a look at the presets in these various toiols??they dont work..why did they add them if they dont work?i aske3d nero and said didnt respond

I just use the parts that I've always used, recode, vision, disk copy, and cd speed and they all work like before so never really messed with the presets I guess. I know they have a guy that comes in here every so often and helps folks and things so maybe you need to look him up in here and make a point of asking him directly as he's been very helpful in the past.

Nero is back to old form... I'm like Dartman... I use the pieces I need... Always was a fan of Burning ROM's interface. That said, I still use ImgBurn a lot too -- I'm familiar with it now... I just don't think in a few years anyone will be burning much CD/DVD/Blu-Ray media. My opinion.

Still, you should be able to find a decent deal on the Nero suite and you will likely find good uses for it because of its general ease of use. Now that it is less bloated on a selective install, it is worth the disc space it consumes. Is Nero back? Well, it never really left... it just got lost along the way. I think they finally listened to their users. It's just going to be hard to win some of them back... Give the Trial a go Lenny and see for yourself... You might be glad you did.

i already have nero 10..i use goldwave too cand to put the tunes into the computer nero is easier.with goldwave to have to find the "highs" in a record which is a pain.in this way nero is better.but i think goldwave offers better editing tools..my take anyway.
