LiteOn iHAS424-08 ZL1P firmware location?

Postby SouthPaw42 on Wed Mar 03, 2010 11:39 pm

Where is the LiteOn iHAS424-08 ZL1P firmware location?
I am trying to scan a few poorly pressed DVD's from my library into MyMovies.

The LiteOn iHAS424-08 is much much better with poorly pressed disks then the LiteOn SH16A7S I was using. I was hoping a newer firmware would help even more.

Lite-On doesn't seem to be putting new firmware on their website. The only way I've gotten some of the newer updates is via SmartPack.

http://www.cdrlabs.com/View-details/Mis ... .19.0.html

If that doesn't work, let me know. I have the firmware update on one of my computers.

Thankyou very much. I am currently using AnyDVD HD and ImgBurn is that a good combination for scanning pressed dvd's?

I can't say that I've ever scanned any DVD's for MyMovies. Are you just creating a disc image?

Yes just an ISO using AnyDVD to remove copy protection, FBI notice, adverts and trailers.

MyMovies.dk just provides a great interface for Windows Media Center.

Many of my pressed disks have not aged well even with a pristine surface I get read errors.

I was wondering it my application combo was good or is another would handle bad reads better.
