blocking yahoo messenger invites

im not sure if this is the proper place for this question but here goes...how do i block yahoo messenger invites from total
strangers?ever since i got this new dell ive been getting these...thanks..

Oh, you're getting emails with invites? If you can't block it, setup a filter so that they go in your trash.

i just checked out the filter at yahoo email...the volume of these invites are alot...i get at leat 1 to 4 each time i go on line..
