anybody tried an external Samsung SE-S224Q

I'm considering buying the external Samsung SE-S224Q DVD multiburner (because of sale price at newegg) and wondered if anyone has any experience using it.
Also wondered if it would be reasonable to think it's reading/writing quality performance may be similar to the internal Samsung SH-S223Q which has been reviewed here.
Any thoughts?

Going by the name, I always thought it was based on the same hardware as the SH-S223Q but I've never seen any real proof.
