Win 7 and optical disk recording

Postby Howard Kaikow on Thu Oct 29, 2009 10:43 am

I recently got MSFT Press' Windows 7 Inside Out.

Seems to state that optical disk recording is now fully built into Win 7, UDF as well as mastering.

Have not yet installed Win 7, so not yet tried.

Basic support for optical disc recording has been built into Windows for some time. XP had some pseudo-packet writing support where you dragged and dropped files onto the drive and then told it to burn in all in one session. Vista has support for actual UDF packet writing but I think its fairly limted. I haven't tried burning under Windows 7 yet. All I know is that it does Blu-ray now.
