There is no freeware "suite" like Nero or Roxio, if that is what you mean... you'll have to do piece mail to get the same (and arguably better) from free solutions.
Audacity is for wav editing/cutting/de-clicking... I used it with some old LP's that were out of print to make digital copies. I also use it to merge sound tracks together and put audio behind a photo show (I do that with
Photodex ProShow Gold). For day to day CD/DVD burning I use
ImgBurn; you might be more comfortable with
CDBurnerXP. Ripping audio CD's works great with
EAC.
Nero and Adaptec Easy CD-Creator (that eventually became Roxio) started out as strictly a CD-R burning product... they bloated into suites full of things I never used, though I did try and use Nero Vision with mixed results. I eventually moved on to
VSO ConvertXtoDVD.
I don't really understand what your goal is; it's never been clear to me... I might suggest to use the hell out of google and yahoo to find answers or other forums that might fit your specific needs.
