recently i tried to install nero 7 just to try it out...it used to crash so i tried it again.....well it crashed again(what else
is new?)anyway i tried to reinstall nero 6 and now get this......you need a new cd that u have to buy from them in order
to get nero 6 up to the last update they did...they used to have this last update at the website now u have to buy an-
other cd?what kind of craziness is this?besides roxio and nero which other brands are avaible in stores?thanks...

Okay, that is really lame. They're charging $12.99 just so that you can get the latest version of Nero that you already own.

thank u much for your trouble.....i emailed nero asking why thay did this no answer yet...i cant believe them.....heres my problem......the link u sent me iws the updated version but does not have all the options i originally paid for...no nero mix,or nero media player etc.i paid for these originally
and now the want more money 4 this cd......they got nerve....dam nazis...lol and the other part of my issue is that i have the original cd that came
with the software.it has everything but its not the updated version........im thinking of putting this cd and useing this or worse going back to roxio
again...what do u think?thanks

Ah yeah, they had a separate download pack with all of those extras. I can't remember what the file names were called though.

I used to dump on Roxio a lot, but wwith Nero being as bloated as it is, there's no reason not to look at their software.

i can tell u what they are...nero soundtrax,nero back it up,nero cover designer,nero photo snap,nero recode,nero vision,
nero mix,nero media player...you should tell the gang about this...

Looks like this issue of having to buy a CD update is only for Nero 6.

If you want to download updates for Nero 7 and later versions, enter your email address and proceed to download the update.

i tried to download nero 7 and lo and behold it crashed..what a shock....i installed roxio easy media creater suite 9 and it wouldent burn cds..so i tried to reinstall nero 6 and it ceashed.also there were options that wasnt in that download gawd this sucks big time... so does nero and roxio
