Holy crap! Gas for less than $3... err $2!!

Gas around here has finally dropped below $3. A few places hit $2.99 right before hurricane Ike, but now we're at $2.89.

I don't know if I should be happy or sad that I'm excited that I can fill my tank for less than $60.

Wow.. gas is already down to $2.49. I filled up my entire tank for less than $37 today.

It's dropped about 20% from its peak here too. Good thing I can take a train to work and don't have to fill up so often- 65 Euros was a hard hit for filling my underpowered Astra.

BTW- the drop in gas prices seems to have had some other repercussions: I took advantage of the Lame Duck Challenge, but just under the wire, so I couldn't post about it here. Don't know if I'll use the Crossover software, but hey- it was free

I saw gas for $1.95 today. I know these prices won't last, but it almost makes me want to go out and buy the biggest SUV I can find.
