In House Review - Sony NEC Optiarc AD-7200S 20x DVD±RW/RAM

CDRLabs has taken a long overdue look at Sony NEC Optiarc's 20x DVD writer, the AD-7200S. While affordably priced, the drive features some of the fastest reading and writing speeds available. The AD-7200S is capable of 20x DVD±R, 12x DVD-R DL, 8x DVD+R DL, 8x DVD+RW, 6x DVD-RW and 12x DVD-RAM writing speeds as well as a maximum DVD read speed of 16x.

In this review we'll take a look at some of the features found on the AD-7200S and see how it compares to some of the 20x DVD±RW drives from the competition. Does the AD-7200S have what it takes? You'll have to read the review to find out.

It does pretty good with SL-media, but it´s slow and not real good with DL

I think it´s based on a NEC-chipset, like the 7203. The 7201 is maybe made by LiteOn and have LS
