DVD technology is boring now... none of the drive makers try anything interesting, and all the best players have largely left the game (BenQ, Plextor). Blu-Ray is thankfully seeing some return to the old days, with Panasonic going all out on their drives. I just hope the format takes off enough to swing interest back to optical media. Otherwise it's good bye optical media, and hello flash memory.
