Recommend an online backup service

I'm looking for an online service to backup my home server and my personal laptop. I must admit that I haven't done much research into this but what I'm looking for something that has unlimited disc space, a decent client that can do incremental backups and is reasonably priced.

I'm tempted to sign up for Sonic's BackOnTrack Online service but I wanted to check and see if there is anything better out there.

When your computer is idle, Carbonite automatically backs up new and changed files. You don’t have to do anything! When you’re using your computer, Carbonite goes to sleep so it will never slow down your computer or internet connection.

I have been thinking about one of these services myself, but haven't had much time to look into it, nor do I know anyone who uses any of these services.

I have heard good things about Mozy Pro (a friend of mine is a reseller). It's also cheap compared to a lot of others.

Not yet. Been too busy to download them and try them out.

One thing I'd like to do is back up my 2000 Server at home. Unfortunately, if I want to do this, I have to sign up for a pro account and pay 2x-3x as much.

If that's what you'd want to do, perhaps getting a copy of Acronis TrueImage and adding on another hard disk to the system makes more sense. I believe you can do complete cloned backups while the system is live, and you can schedule them.

I use the home version for a lot of stuff; it was cheap, and it's a great product.

I've thought about using Nero BackItUp (god knows, I have enough licenses) for that. I really want something offsite though.

I took the plunge and went with Carbonite, using the 30 day free trial. Very simple to install & setup.

The initial backup (mostly my pics) took a long time to upload, they say the initial backup (due to size) can take a couple of days, though I can't really say what the real backup time would have been, since I have lousy arse Comcast for my ISP, and the connection has been very erratic over the last week.

That being said, any changes to your backup folder happen automatically and you can add or remove folders at any time.

So far, so good. I have 3 more weeks to test drive the service, but methinks I will be dropping the $49/yr.
