IMHO.. NME waited way too long to introduce these players. If they would have introduced them a year or even 6 months ago, they could have been a contender. Now, with HD DVD players retailing for less than $250 and including 5-7 free movies, no one in their right mind is going to invest in HD-VMD.
Also, how can they justify charging $199 for this player? If I remember right, these things use a standard DVD drive.
