nero vision 4 picture not clear

I have a problem with nero vision 4 I try to transcode a home made movie from my video camera and, everything works until the point where I play my dvd. It seems that the picture is coming out not to clear like I see some blocks like it was compressed to much even though I don't see that the movie passes the capacity of 4.7 gigs can someone please help me with this problem? thanks.

Is the entire movie blocky or just some parts?

I would have to see the Nero VIsion log file from the burn operation so that I can see what exactly Nero Vision did with the source video. If transcoding was required.
