Media Confusion

Postby Media2007 on Wed Jul 25, 2007 7:48 pm

My fellow burners,
I'am needing a little enlighting here.Which is actually better for use?The DVDx8 or DVDx16?The reason for me asking is that I don't know what the difference is between them.

All that I know is that the DVD+R (Verbatim)that I have right now are x16.
Do,the 8x record better?

If you're going to write at 16x, buy discs rated at that speed.

With 8x or 16x rated media? Either way, it depends on the drive and/or media. With some drive/media combinations, you get good results at both speeds. With others at 8x. And with really crappy media, you get bad results at both speeds.
