Postby Media2007 on Thu Jul 12, 2007 1:05 pm

What is it?I keep seeing this in some forums. But,I don't even know what they're speaking about?

Here's a page with some info on it:

To put it simply, the more "sheep" a drive has, the greater chance you will have of copying a disc with some sort of copy protection. Most copy protections have moved beyond this so its pretty much a moot point these days.

I think there is only one "3-Sheep" burner around... The latest Asus drive (Mediatek based one, not based off a Pioneer design)... But like Ian said, that isn't saying much these days.

It's not a 3 sheep. It doesn't even do SafeDisc 2.90.

Then the "3 Sheep" burner is about as common as seeing a Unicorn at the Zoo.

The sheep-tests with 3 doesn´t say that the drive will make working copies of newer SD-protected disks
