Need some help, the above dvd burner is still available here in the UK
how does this burner compare with the Samsung SH-S182D
Pioneer DVR-112D
Plextor 760A
PLUS MOST OF THE NEW 20X SPEED DRIVES.

Would anyone agree that the DVR-11D is still the best or one
of the best.

Yeah, it´s a very good DVD-writer, many ppl say it´s still better than the 112 and better than most others, too

That isn´t general, maybe ur drive or PC have a problem

That seems to be a common problem with their earlier production runs. Do you remember when it was manufactured?

Yes it was manufactured in december 2006

I had a DVR-212D (SATA version of the 112) and it was MFG in Dec 06... It did not burn CD-R's either. RMA'd it. I now have two 212D's and I have grown quite fond of them. Both mfg'd in March 07.
