Clone DVD: Frame statistics & audio choice questions

Postby videobruce on Sun Jul 01, 2007 12:29 pm

Using CloneDVD2;
Most movies I copy do not have the 'frame statistics' available, just the 'video bit-rates'. Why is this?

Most movies have 2 channel and 6 channel audio available. Do I need both choices if I check 6 channel? IOW's, doesn't the 6 channel track(s) include the 2 channel audio?

They're two totally different tracks. When backing up a DVD, I usually drop the 2 channel and just keep the 6 channel.

I'm not sure about the frame statistics.

If I don't use the 2 channel, are there any issues with non-surrond receivers (loss of audio effects etc.)?
IOW's do I need the 2 channel at all??
