Why is that software better than the free alternatives?

The Linux guys at work use Cdrdao.

http://cdrdao.sourceforge.net/

A few other useful tools are mkisofs and cdrecord.

Thanx.

I installed Gnomebaker, but I have not yet had a chance to try it.

K3B is a KDE app. Being new to Linux, I am trying to stick with only non-KDE apps to see how far I can get without KDE.
