Issue with BackItUp 2

Postby sand0r on Thu Jun 28, 2007 12:10 pm

Alright, I decided three months ago to back up all of my important files. I used back it up with compression and it spanned over five DVDs. My hard drive failed a few days ago and everything is lost, except for what I backed up. I put in the fifth disc, ran the file in back it up, and put in the first disc when ask. It all seemed to go smoothly and then it ended, saying that it restored it successfully but I had never put in any of the other discs. each of the discs has a file with the extension .nc_ and I have no idea how to get BackItUp to ask for the other disc to continue the decompression of the splitted files.

I've read around these forums and found a thread where someone suggested "merging" the files and unzipping it with a program like winzip or winrar but it didn't suggest how to or what to use to merge them. It would be fantastic if someone could help me out with this since all of my music projects, graphics, pictures, and web sites were backed up. Thanks in advance.

Sorry... Never used Nero's BackItUp... I have my own solution for data backups. I do hope you find some help though... you may want to contact Nero for support. Best of luck.
