Anyone have any experience with the ASTAR HDX-9350 HDMI Upconverting DVD Player? Newegg has it for $9.99 after a $20 MIR and $10 promo (code: EMC424FASTA).

It's pretty fugly but upconverting and HDMA for $10 is kind tempting.

Nevermind.. the reviews at Newegg say that the player is crap.

probably even worse then crap, at least crap does exactly what it was intended for

maybe i should talk to the hiring wizards in corporate office and see if we can start carrying these

NewEgg has been going down hill since their previous CEO stepped down. I see them doing weirder and weirder stuff all the time now, and they don't seem to have any real business plan anymore. Kind of sad really.
