Verbatim Movie Reel On Sale

Best Buy has Those Fancy Verbatim "Movie Reel" DVD media in sale starting Sunday April 15 for $8.99/pack of 25. This is one the best media for burning with PC DVD burner (-/+R) and Recording with Stand Alone DVR recorder (-R).

Has anyone used this lately? I agree the old 4x stuff was really excellent media, but I've heard the 8x stuff is HIGHLY variable and not even as good as the normal Verbatim 8x on average... I haven't bought any since the switch up to 8x...

Actually, I haven't been impressed with the 8x movie reel Verbatims either. Although regular Verbatim 8x are good.

The ones I have are Verbatim DVD-R 1X-4X speeds and made in Taiwan, I have been using them mainly on my "Stand Alone" Pioneer RT500 and so far, the performance of this disc has been nothing but rewarding.[/quote]
