a missing file

hi gang

yesterday i deleted a file from my hard drice c that i should not have deleated.as a result my computer had to do a scan check before i came
the computer.how can i fix this?can i get the file back??thanks

I take it the file is for windows right? If you can't pull the file off another computer, you might want to pop in your Windows CD, boot off of it and do a repair.

If you have System Restore turned on (Vista, 2003, XP, Me), then you could try restoring to the latest restore point.
