Verbatim 2.4x DL Media

I'm assuming since this media is made by Verbatim that the quality is top notch. I'm getting a Pioneer DVR-111D and was wondering what is the best speed to burn this media? I noticed that people seem to like doing one notch below the rated amount but would burning this at 1x be so great? It would be nice to burn a little faster but I'm really hoping for good quality burns. Thanks for the help.

it should be able to do 8x pretty well, just experiment with speeds till you find the best match for quality. Mine does them at 8x usually very nicely.
I spose you could try 6 if offered and if it goes really well step up to 8.
No burners will do 1x to plus at least and work afterwards, lowest option is 2.4 speed for plus.

Yes, they were Verbatium DVD+R DL 2.4x media burned on the Pioneer 111D with firmware 1.29.

Am I the only person left in the world who burns 2.4X Verbatim media at 2.4X? (and gets incredibly good results for it?)

I burn my Verbatim DVD+RDL at 4x. I've never had stable results while burning at 8x.

I love Verbatim 8x DVD+RDL's though, since they work really well at 8x, or even 10x on some drives

Burning program won't matter for output quality. I think those were data discs, so it was probably Nero 6.6 or ImgBurn.

If you want the burning program to calculate a good layer break, use IMGBurn.
