error in Nero 6 advrcntr2.dll

After uninstalling the demo of Nero 7, Nero 6 will no longer work. I've tried uninstalling all and reinstalling (several times), but to no avail.

When I try to start a program, Nero Express specifically, I get the error "This program requires the file advrcntr2.dll, which was not found on this system."

I'm guessing that something leftover is stuck from the demo, but it doesn't seem to go away (if that's the case).

Anyone seen this problem or have a solution?

Use the Nero clean tools to get rid of everything, then try reinstalling...

Why the #$!* you need to use a clean tool to do the job the uninstaller is supposed to be doing, I'll never understand. I blame it on sloppy programming.

Ya know, I thought I had, but just to be sure, checked again, and discovered that I had used the Cleanpak and RegistryChecker tools.

Ran the CleanTool, and it fixed the problem on reinstall.
