Help me choose: Samsung SH182D / NEC AD-5170 or AD-7173

I will be ordering parts for a new computer soon, the only thing left to pick is a DVD-writer. Since i will buy everything from the same store, i only have three writers in the good priceclass to choose from.

I dont have a clue wich one is better to pick. I just want a basic reliable writer with good writing and reading quality.

From ur list I would choose the 7173.

But my choice No. 1 is Pioneer, 111 or 112
Benq DW 1640 and 1650 , Plextor PX-755, Pioneer BDR-208 and 209D, LG GH24NSC0, LG BH16NS40 and 16NS55, Liteon ihas 124F and 324F, Pioneer DVR-215 and S21, Samsung SH-224DB and 224GB, and some more

I'm not really familiar with all those models, but my first instinct was to opt for the AD-7173 since it is the newest and I would generally prefer NEC/Optiarc over Samsung.

Go for either of NEC drives.
