Problem with Verbatim DVD+R DL

Postby Black Blade on Sun Mar 18, 2007 9:36 pm

I picked up a few of these discs to put a music DVD file on, but when I put it into my little cheap-cheap-plays everything dvd player, it comes up as "no disc"

I got the DL, so I didn't have to compress the video down to a regular DVD. Am I doing something wrong? It was a normal 7 Gig ISO file I burned...

It's possible your el cheapo DVD player doesn't support DVD+R DL media. If your drive supports it, try setting the book type to DVD-ROM.

I use Nero 6 and it has the option checked "DVD High compatibility mode"...can't find any other method of setting the book type.

I have two LG GSA 422N's. I just upgraded to the 6.6.1.15 version from the 6.6.0.8 version....which may have been why I had no drop down box to select book type. Will see how things go now that have this upgrade.
