I ordered 2 packs of the +Rs. It said out of stock, but will ship when in.

I am about 1/4 way through a 100 pack I bought a little while ago for $25. My burner seems to like them.

After NCIX putting the Verbatim's on sale for 100/$20, and The Source at Circuit City putting the Verbatim 25pks on sale for $4.99 (including free shipping) I wonder how many people still need Verbatim DVDRs?

20.00 CAD = 16.97 USD not a bad price for 100 brand name DVD-R's

Mine arrived yesterday, any idea who really made them from the media code? I'm assuming Mitsubishi Chemical Corp. In other words, high grade stuff!

I received my two spindles of +R today. Says Made in Taiwan on the package.

These are the same discs as the last spindle I bought and the seem to do fairly well with my Lite-on SOHW-1693S

Probably they're made by Prodisc... if you post the serial number in the very centre hub of the disc we can tell for sure though :)

for the -R spindle:MAP633KC19025386 4

Is what's printed in ink on the hub part.

There is another one (much harder to read) etched by laser on the underside of the disc. I'd need a magnafying glass at my age to make it out.

I have 3 spindles in total

I think the 1st one is CMC and the others might be prodisc. Not 100% sure. The numbers are very hard to read. The plastic lids for the spindles are different, Spindle 1 has a Blank Rectangle etched in the plastic above the recycling symbol. The other two do not.

Spindle 1 Verbatim 16x +R (bought this one a little while ago $26)

Spindle 2 Verbatim 16x +R (just received)

Spindle 3 Verbatim 16x +R (just received)

Definitely seems like CMC-made Verbatim is getting harder to find.. I hope Verbatim doesn't go back to crap media after building up such a great reputation. (Prodisc MCC media isn't bad but definitely more variable)

I have a raincheck good for 30 days for 4 spindles of these. Only problem, my S. Alberta store only has Prodisc in stock :( in 100 disc spindles. Has some CMC's in 50's though, so I ended up paying $17.99 per 50 instead of using my raincheck. Anyone want 400 Prodiscs for $80  ?

I hear that, but I'm not at all hard up for media (I have the bad habit of stockpiling :D ).
