Beware of Dolphin's bearing gifts

Postby dolphinius_rex on Mon Dec 25, 2006 4:57 pm

I'm taking a bit of a risk, as I have yet to give this present to the recipient... but they'll have it within the week, and they don't even know this forum exists, so I SHOULD be safe.

Every year we do stuff like this to each other (making the gifts hard to open), so this year, I decided to kick it up a couple of notches. As for the gift itself, the person receiving it has been trying to find it for over a year, and even ebay doesn't list it. It cost me a pretty penny in the end, but I'm getting my money's worth out of this for sure :D \:D/

I photographed the whole wrapping process... enjoy!

Edit: Although I don't show it, I actually used 3 whole rolls of tape (2 packing, 1 duct) not including the regular scotch tape I used.

That... is... awesome!

What's up with the triple A batteries?

gee, I hope you mailed it internationally. I'm sure the batteries would cause no concern @ customs!

Otherwise, Canada Post doesn't give a rats ass what goes though.

As for the wrapping job, you're evil. I love it!

The batteries and the jewel cases are to create a rattle sound (and possibly a "broken present" sound :P ). And I'm happy to say the person in question will be opening the present right in front of me, at our new years party. Since my group of friends and I all have family to spend Christmas with, we do our gift exchange at New Years, which we all spend together.

That's a thoroughly evil giftwrapping!

I'd like to be a fly on the wall when your present is opened.

My god, that is awesome. I like it so much I've decided to adopt it for my own. I can't believe you'd steal my idea before I even had it.
A man has been charged after allegedly punching a 73-year-old woman in the face, breaking her nose and stabbing her in the arm with a corkscrew before hitting a second woman with a bottle at a wedding reception in the Whitsunday Islands.

I have a female friend who one year complained that men don't know how to gift wrap, and really don't care about how a present looks... so that year I was sure to use the car ad section of the newspaper, wrap about 40 pages around her gift, and then wrapped duct tape around the whole thing..

She wasn't particularly amused. ;)
