Copy DVDs

Postby Dazzler on Wed Dec 13, 2006 5:34 pm

I have a DVD of a Dance Concert, provided by a professional video guy.
Recorded in PAL MPEG Audio Standard.

I've attempted to copy DVD using Nero Express 6, both by Save & Burn, and Copy & Burn. My burner is TSSTcorp CD/DVDW SH-W162Z (DVD).

Result: On copy, I can select the first three items. After that, I can't skip, ffwd, select or anything but 'playthrough'.

The original does all it should do.

Any clues?

Are you copying the files or doing an actual disc copy?

I've tried both.
Copy from file & copy from disc.
Same result.

Have you tried other media or recording at a slower speed? The reason I ask is that the problem may be caused by poor writing quality.

Just tried slower copy speed.
Same result.

Nero is all I have at the moment.
Should I download alternative software?
What would you recommend?
