INCD and Vista

Postby Howard Kaikow on Sun Nov 26, 2006 1:05 pm

My recollection is that Vista was supposed to include native packet writing software. Does it?

If so, is INCD Even needed under Vista?

Vista supports two different writing methods:

1. Cache the files on the hard drive and then write them out to the disc when you're ready. This was the same method in XP.

2. Packet writing. Looking at the screenshot below, you can see that it supports UDF version 1.5 through 2.5.

And yeah, the version of InCD that comes with the latest version of Nero should support Vista... in theory at least.

If I remember right, they licensed some stuff from Sonic.

Vista enshrines Sonic?

So now we're back to Adaptec EZ and Roxio, but it's built in? Can the burner and aspi drivers be removed or installation refused?
