i might be missing a codecs.i tried to install the powerpack lame mp3 en-
coder with the reg. number nero sent me.the encoder wasnt listed in the nero express drop down list.i might be missing a codecs as the encoder
should have been listed in the drop down list.how to dix this?i just got a
new dell demension 1100 with windows xp.thanks.

What version of Nero are you using?

When you go into the Nero StartSmart, does it list two serial keys for you now? One should be your Nero Retail serial key, and the second would be your MP3Lame serial key.

the problem is that i have 3 encoders in my folders.when i got this computer i had nero preinstalled.i tried to uninstall the preinstalled nero
but it didnt get everything.i have in my computer;

lame_enc_.dll recycle bin
lame_enc_dll c/windows/system 32
lame_enc_dll.c/program files/common
the recylyed one is the one that came with the computer.i believe its a
corrupt file problem.what should i do?delete all these files and reinstall
nero 6 anew??thanks

Just for closure, when coonsanders removed the three instances of the lame encoder and then reinstalled, it resolved his issue.
