Alternative to QuickPar?

Ok, never had any problems with Quickpar before. Guess I'm just unlucky recently

Anyway, got a fairly large data set in need of repair. QuickPar starts the process, then bombs out. No error messages, just back to the desktop.

I've tried 3 different versions, going all the way back to 0.8.

The command line PAR2 program just gives this error:

Too many input blocks for Reed Solomon matrix.

Any ideas?

If the pars themselves are bad, Quickpar isn't reporting it.

Guess the command line PAR2 program is from the same guy who did quickpar; my guess is the core code is the same hence the failure of both.

It would appear from the error message from PAR2 that the data set is simply too large; which is odd, I've never had any problems recovering data from DL DVD images before

ive recovered xbox 360 games before with quickpar

just recently dead rising

so it has to be the par files themselves are bad, is there a .sfv file to check the files?

I ran into something similar with QuickPar before and the Reed Solomon stuff. I think the solution was to delete one of the files in the file set or par set, can't remember, and then try the rebuild process again. It worked for me, but I had to really search out the answer looking through Google.

No SVF file...and there are a number of the files that are bad.

I've tried deleting a few of the par files & some of the data sets. No go.

Oh well...
