? about Optical Sata and Eide drives & bios settings?

I have a Benq 1655 Eide connected DVDRW and and Sata/USB controller card with a MSI Sata CDRW connected. Both of these optical drives show up as secondary or slave drives in my bios with no primary drives listed. Should one or both of these be primary drives in my bios or does it matter? Why?

If the BenQ is the only drive on the IDE chain, it should be configured as a primary or master. There isn't a way to do this with the SATA drive so I'm not sure what to do there. It might be normal for all I know.
